By scheduling an appointment, the signer acknowledges that they are acting voluntarily, are of sound mind, and are alert and aware of the contents and purpose of the documents they are signing. If a signer is not fully alert, incapacitated, under the influence of any substance, or unable to understand the nature of the transaction, the notarial act may be refused in compliance with Florida notary law. If legal advice, interpretation, or document drafting is needed, the signer should consult a qualified attorney or legal professional prior to the appointment.
